The NADAV Foundation, established in 2003 by Leonid Nevzlin and his partners, V. Dubov and M. Brudno, works to support initiatives which advance an understanding of Jewish Peoplehood, build substantive and pluralistic Jewish collective identity, and create lasting connections among Jews throughout the world.
NADAV was among the first organizations to begin researching and discussing Jewish Peoplehood. This bold, innovative concept is now becoming a dynamic paradigm shift in Jewish life, gaining increasing support in the Jewish world.
“Я – Torah” is a unique online educational project initiated by the NADAV Foundation in 2011. The mission of “Я – Torah” is to provide an educational platform that enables the international Russian speaking audience to interact and become familiar with the Jewish Bible and to present TANAKH as one of the foundations of civilization.
I chose to mark the tenth anniversary of my Aliya to Israel with a conference on democracy and freedom of speech in the hopes of catalyzing thinking and action around these issues in my new home and beyond. Sadly, our topic feels truly urgent as I watch many states, some members of the United Nations, call themselves democracies and barely pay lip service to the essence of democracy — freedom of speech.

“For the past 20 years since I have known Spencer Tunick I have witnessed his art evolve from the streets of New York, across America and to major cities of the world. What started out as individual photographic portraits of nudes in public environments has grown to mass installations involving thousands of active participants. Through his art, Spencer has championed many important causes; from the First Amendment with the historic Court Ruling protecting his installations as art, to Global Warming (Greenpeace – Switzerland & France) and most recently Gay Rights (Sydney Australia). After touching so many people and places around the world, I have embarked on a personal mission to bring Spencer Tunick to Israel.”
